Moët Hennessy acquires the Spanish winery Bodega Numanthia Termes

Moët Hennessy, the wines and spirits business of LVMH, the world’s leading luxury products Group, announces the acquisition of 100% of the Spanish winery Bodega Numanthia Termes from its founders, the Eguren family. Numanthia Termes produces super-premium wines such as Termanthia, Numanthia and Termes from the Toro Region in Spain. These wines are not only recognized in Spain, they have also won many accolades internationally. Their spectacular quality derives from exceptional vineyards, some of them 140 years-old, and from a unique winemaking expertise. Super-premium Spanish wine is a very dynamic category, and the Toro region in Spain offers a lot of untapped potential for creating top-end wines and developing high-value exports. Christophe Navarre, President of Moët Hennessy, commented: «We are delighted to see Numanthia Termes join our portfolio of super-premium still wines and we know that its wines will thrive alongside our other wines coming from Cloudy Bay in New Zealand, Cape Mentelle in Australia, Terrazas in Argentina or Newton in California, among others. Thanks to our very strong distribution network worldwide and our expertise in building luxury brands, we will grow this appellation and build value for Estates & Wines, our wine division».
