Fabrizio Malverdi is appointed Chief Executive Officer of Givenchy Couture

LVMH announces the appointment of Fabrizio Malverdi as Chief Executive Officer of Givenchy Couture, effective October 2008. Fabrizio Malverdi will report to Pierre-Yves Roussel, LVMH Fashion Division Chief Executive Officer. Fabrizio Malverdi takes over from Marco Gobbetti who has been promoted Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Celine. Marco Gobbetti remains on the Board of Directors of Givenchy Couture so that the House further benefits from his experience. During the last four years, Marco Gobbetti has – jointly with the creative leadership of Riccardo Tisci – repositioned the brand with great success; thus allowing Givenchy Couture to enjoy significant profitable growth. In this dynamic context, Fabrizio Malverdi will further leverage the current, strong development momentum of the brand under the creative leadership of Riccardo Tisci. Fabrizio Malverdi has successfully developed John Galliano SA and accelerated its growth. Fabrizio holds a diploma in Management of the Bocconi University (Milan) and in Business Administration of the University of Bologna. He was successively Executive Producer for the advertising production company Rosanna & Associati and then Director of Staff International (Italy), in charge of the Vivienne Westwood, Martin Margiela, and Costume National licenses. In 2000 he joined the Mariella Burani Fashion Group where he was lastly Managing Director of Calvin Klein Collection. In 2006 he joined John Galliano SA as Managing Director.
