At its next Annual General Meeting, to be held on April 18, the LVMH group will propose the appointment of Iris Knobloch as a new Member of the Board, and Yann Arthus-Bertrand, as an Advisory Board Member.

The candidacy of Iris Knobloch follows the decision of Mme. Bernadette Chirac to step down after nine years on the LVMH Board. Mr. Bernard Arnault sincerely thanks Mme. Chirac for her contribution to the work of the Board and the Group during her long tenure.

Ms. Knobloch has served as President of Warner Bros Entertainment in France since 2006, Previously, she was in charge of Time Warner’s International Relations and Strategic Policy for Europe, and also worked in Los Angeles and London. Prior to Warner Bros, Ms. Knobloch was an attorney with Norr, Stiefenhofer & Lutz and with O’Melveny & Myers in Munich, New York and Los Angeles.

At the same AGM the Board will also propose the appointment of Yann Arthus-Bertrand as an Advisory Board Member.

Yann Arthus-Bertrand, the renowned photographer and director, has a long-standing commitment to the environment. In 2005, he created Good Planet, a recognised public interest foundation, with the aim of making ecology and humanism a central issue in order to encourage people to take concrete action for the Earth and its inhabitants. In addition to its public and youth outreach activities, the Foundation supports a number of programs, notably those aimed at combating global warming and deforestation and protecting the oceans.

Yann Arthus-Bertrand has already indicated that he wishes to donate his attendance fees as an Advisory Board Member to the Good Planet Foundation.

Through their areas of expertise and experience, Iris Knobloch and Yann Arthus-Bertrand will enrich the work of the LVMH Board of Directors, to which they will contribute a renewed sensitivity to environmental and societal issues in addition to their own skills.
